I'm listing this fine Shelby
once more in the hopes of attracting a QUALIFIED
bidder/buyer. Please, no dreamers. Please don't bid on
this item if you have no intentions of following
through. I am disclosing the reserve as being well below
$65K (that's nearly $10K below the most recent appraised
value of this automobile).
I am listing the car for my
employer who has owned the car since 1975, and I am
handling the sale for him. I am not a dealer, and prefer
not to deal with brokers/dealers unless they have their
facts and finances in order.
This is a beautiful, low mileage
(32.5K ORIGINAL miles), low production number
(#270) GENUINE Shelby with only 3 owners (present
owner has had it for nearly 28 years), priced below
current appraisal & market
value.
This car is only on it's second
set of tires EVER and still has all of it's ORIGINAL
sheet metal (check out the other Shelbys out there and
see if they can boast THAT fact). This is a straight,
accident free original GT500 (not some cobbled
together resto car full of replacement panels and
parts). This is truly the real deal and you can purchase
it for the price of one of those unoriginal resto
cars!
Submitted for your
consideration; the opportunity to own this genuine, low
mileage 1967 427 Shelby
GT500 COBRA, Shelby VIN
67400F5A00270, original Ford VIN (found underneath
Shelby VIN) 7R (or possibly "B") 02Q146888. Dealer
swap/installed 427 engine date stamped
6K14.
The third owner has enjoyed this beautiful automobile
for nearly 28 years and is
offering this fine example of
classic SHELBY muscle to qualified
bidders. This rare automobile has been stored
throughout the fall/winter/spring seasons, and only
driven occasionally to local events in the Detroit
area during the summer months. This is not a trailer
car, but as close to a "survivor" as you may find.
This is a
GENUINE 427
"side oiler" 4 bolt
main engine, (factory date stamped
6K14-November 14th,
1966), NOT the typical
428. It's coupled
with the (original) (in)famous C-4
Toploader tranny. Since Shelby and his
affiliated dealerships kept little or no records
regarding the dealer installed 427 cars sold, this
car stands as a fine physical example.
Since this car was purchased by the present
owner in 1975, long before certain documents
&info were important, we have no build sheet or
invoice (though a reprint of the invoice is
obtainable).Rest assured that all numbers are verifiably
correct, and the car is listed with the Shelby
Registry.
A 1987 Concours de Elegance at
Meadowbrook entry, this beautiful car has
been featured in many events (by invitation from
FORD) in the Detroit area,
including "REVIN' WITH FORD"
(4 consecutive years) and "THE MUSTANG
DRIVE-INN" and is always a crowd
pleaser.
Inspected and appraised 12 months ago by
Classic Auto Showplace Ltd. in Detroit at over
$70K, it stands proudly as an
investment quality automobile,
continually appreciating in value and
appeal.
If you've been in the market for a
quality, GENUINE Shelby GT, look no further. Bid to
win!
Please email me with any
questions that you may have.
may
