This Shelby has a Successful Documented Race
History from 1970 thru 1976 and
Thereafter was stored in a barn for 27 years
until I bought It from the third " known " owner
in November of 2003 . This car is in need of a
restoration but is as solid as
The day it was made , the car was shipped from
Shelby American in late February 1966 to Gerber -
Payne Ford In Michigan . This car has be confirmed
with the SAAC
Registry and has considerable SCCA race history
at tracks such as Watkins Glen ,
Cummberland , Nelson Ledges and others . In
essence this car has been a Racecar
Most all its life , if not all its life "
before " being stored in a barn for 27 years .
Once restored this Vintage Racing Shelby would
be " eligible " for Medallion status
Thru SVRA because of its race history prior to
1973 . The car is not currently
Running , it has a 302 CI motor with the
correct Shelby intake manifold and 715 cfm
Holley carb, has the 9 inch Detriot locker
rearend and two sets of wheels including
An original set of 7 x 15 American Racing
Torque Trust Ds …and the other set is
What you see pictured on the car . At some
point in the 70s the last owner that raced
It had replaced the 66 shock towers with 67
towers to allow them to run a wider motor
Like a 351 Windsor or Cleveland . A current
list of all the parts that come with the
Car , the race history and a copy of the Log
book from 1970 are available for email
To those that are interested in bidding on this
Shelby . Here is an opportunity to own
A Rare Vintage Racing Shelby that has a great
SCCA history and has " Medallion "
Status eligibility because of its Race History
. If you any Questions I can be reached
By phone at 330- 533- 6056 days and 330-
