Up for Auction is a
1967 GT500 SHELBY 428 with 56K
original miles. Shelby number # 2408. I
have owned this car for 5 years. I have put about
25K into it not including my labor. I have all
receipts. I also have taken over 200 pictures of
the restoration. Everything was documented. Every
detail of the engine, body, painting process,
transmission, interior, everything was
photographed before and after assembly. This
Shelby has the original engine and trans. This car
is rust free. That means no rust. The floors are
original with red oxide primer. No undercoating!
The drivers seat has a small split in the original
seat covering. This car has all the correct Shelby
parts. Original undercarriage/suspension. The car
rides perfect and runs 80mph or more straight as a
arrow. I have had this car up to 140mph at
Nashville SAAC 28 with no problems and runs like a
scalded dog. Very tight. I have copies of all
titles from all 4 pervious owners and inspection
sheets DOCUMENTING THE MILES. How many Shelby’s
are this documented? This car has been garaged for
25 years that I know about. This was always a
local car. When the car was stripped for paint the
body man told me the rear left quarter was damaged
at 1 time and replaced. I could not tell. There
currently are headers on this car, however, the
original exhaust manifolds are included. This
Shelby has all the correct ford numbers in all the
correct places. The Shelby tag is easy to read. I
can’t fit all the pictures on ebay. I will
guarantee this is a numbers matching car. No
disappointments.
THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR.
ONLY 47 WERE MADE IN CANDY APPLE
RED.
How many are left is
unknown. Most of the other red cars are Lime Green
repaints. I have a Elite Marti Autoworks report to
confirm the rarity of this
car.
I used all NOS ford parts
on the exterior excluding the bumpers. ORIGINAL
KELSEY HAYS MAGSTARS. Including the spare. The
trunk looks like the rest of the car. NO RUST and
detailed. New gas tank. This is not a perfect car.
This is a great driving machine. I love driving
this car. It runs great on Premium fuel and you
can drive it cross country. This car
will burn the tires all through 1st
gear and kick sideways when it hits second. It is
very hard for me to sell this car. I spent 2 years

I have been getting a lot of emails. Some answers are
below.
The floors and rails are perfect, never replaced. NO RUST.
The shelby tag is orginal and correct. All ford vins are
correct and in the correct locations. All shelby
gauges,belts,steering wheel, everything is CORRECT. I will not
hold anyone to payment if what I said is not correct. (check
my history). I have updated the shelby registry with my name
and new info on my car. Check the registry. I will not give
out the ford vin. I will give it to the winning buyer when
picking up the car and the phone number of the 67 register.
Just a reminder you dont get a Marti report without the
correct ford vin.\
No Cashiers checks. Wire Transfers only. 5K deposit in
3days. The balance due in 1 week. This is not a sale to hold
the car for 2 weeks until you get a chance to look at it.
If you dont like the terms dont buy it. Please dont apply
for a loan after you buy the car. Sorry to be blunt, but this
is a serious car for Serious people.
