prized and very collectible 1969 Shelby GT500.
Special Order high impact color – Competition Red. This
Shelby is one of the most documented cars
available anywhere including the original Build
Sheet, Original Invoice, Original Order Sheet,
Marti Report, verified by SAAC and in the current
Shelby Registry. An extensive photo album of the
restoration and documentation accompanies this
car. This Muscle Car provides the visual impact
most Enthusiasts and Collectors desire, and since
only 104 of all 69 Shelby’s were built with this
color combo, there are probably only a few
remaining.
Completely restored to stock factory specs. The
Competition Red paint is show quality two-stage
base coat/clear coat and is in excellent
condition. The interior is equipped with beautiful
white factory comfort-weave high back seats the
factory roll bar, correct shoulder harnesses and
seat belts, fold down rear seat, AM radio,
p/steering, p/disc brakes and console all of which
are in excellent condition. Under the hood is the
highly detailed 428 Cobra Jet engine, complete
with correct air cleaner, snorkel, s-tube, hoses,
and smog equipment. The engine was completely
rebuilt using all the best parts to factory specs
and topped of the correct Holley 735 CFM Carb. All
underhood markings are correct down to the correct
sealant around the Ram Air system.
The underside of the car has also been
meticulously detailed, is painted the correct
red-oxide primer, and includes an aluminized
exhaust system with correct h-pipe, transverse
muffler, NOS gas tank, Koni shocks, etc. The
heavy-duty transmission has the correct cast iron
tail housing and R-servo, which are specific to
the 428CJ, and the rear-end is the original 9”
unit. All paint markings are correct from the rear
to the front suspension and shock towers. The
trunk has been detailed and includes the correct
Space Saver tire, jack and handle. The new
Goodyear tires are mounted on mint Shelby wheels.
As you can see from the photos, this car is
stunning with everything new or restored.

1969 - seven days ahead of schedule
