Description |

1967 Ford Shelby Cobra Mustang GT 500
fastback - SHELBY VIN # 67400F4A01834 - FORD VIN # 7R02Q192xxx
- verified and documented by second owner with national Shelby
registrar. Original, unrestored “survivor” car with 73,000
original documented miles. No rust and/or wreck history and
has never been out of the State of Georgia. This is an
all-original (75% original paint) Georgia car with two owners
to date. Matching numbers car with fresh (January, 2002) long
block re-build that costs over $ 6,000.00 to due (balance
& blueprinted, rebuild & re-color original carbs,
hardened valve seats, etc. etc.).
I bought this car from the 2nd owner who owned the car
since 1977. He had not put 3,000 miles on the car in 25 years.
I immediately went about the expensive and time-consuming task
of re-building the motor and the transmission to factory
Shelby specs. I also did about $ 8,000.00 worth of
“embellishments” to the car (detail engine bay, steam clean
undercarriage, replace original carpeting (look at those
untouched floor pans and weather shields!!) if it needed to be
done, it was done with no expense spared. I have a 7-inch
thick file of paperwork and receipts on this car in addition I
also have a videotape of the car with the motor re-done, on an
engine stand, running (before it was re-installed in the car).
 All
panels are original with date codes and after the
undercarriage clean up you can see the original Ford red oxide
all over the underbody. WOW! According to Mustang Monthly
(March 2002 issue) editor Jeff Ford was quoted as saying that
the 1967 Shelby GT 500’s are, by far, the most collectible,
sought after and valuable of the Shelby Cobra Mustang era at
this time. Editor Ford summed it up as quoted “get a 1967 GT
500 and be done with it”! 1967 Shelby Cobra Mustangs are the
most unique Shelby model that has the most “Shelbyized”
components installed on it. 1967 Shelby’s were also the last
Shelby’s built at Carroll’s famous Los Angeles airport
factory.
 In
January of this year several international muscle car auctions
took place in Arizona and very few Shelby Mustangs were
available for sale/auction. This shows that the Shelby market
is not only stable but also continues to rise at a most rapid
rate (sorry NASDAQ!!). The ratio of buyers to sellers is about
10 to 1 with 1 being cars available for sale. Of the very few
Shelby’s at auction there were even less 1967 GT 500’s and
when these cars rolled across the block the audience took note
and bid high. There were a lot of disappointed potential
buyers that could not get into the bidding until it was too
late. The hammer dropped and the cars set records!!
 - Shelby_files\MVC-018S(2).jpg) If
you ever longed for the “correct” Shelby Cobra Mustang with
all documentation and no apologizes then this is your car. You
will not find a nicer, cleaner more original unmolested 1967
GT 500 out there. This car is ready to go and could be yours
if you are the high bidder. I have placed a “buy it now” on this auction and
have a realistic reserve that will not be given out so please,
do not ask,
 - Shelby_files\MVC-014S(1).jpg) I
welcome inquiries about the car and have over 150 more photos
of the car that I can draw from and e-mail you. I also welcome
personal inspections on the car PRIOR to the auction ending. I
request that you due your own due diligence and rely upon said
due diligence to make your buying decision. I will be more
then happy to, upon request, fax you any paperwork,
documentation, receipts, etc. This auction is a seven-day
auction that ends next Sunday night (February 24th). Negative
feedback, of any kind, will not be tolerated and when reserve
is met any and all bids higher then reserve will be e mailed
and asked for bank financial verification so that I know you
can complete this high dollar transaction. Settlement, after
the auction closes, is as follows: High bidder/winner will
have three (3) business days in which to wire funds, in full,
to my bank. Immediately upon receipt of wire high
bidder/winner will be FED EXP title, bill of sale, appraisal
and any and all paperwork, documents, photo CD’s and 3 ½ inch
floppies. Winner will have two business weeks to remove car
from my premise (car is sold FOB Atlanta, Georgia). Winner is
required to immediately bind insurance on said automobile upon
payment in full. This auction and your bid/participation in
this auction are binding contracts and will be dutifully,
lawfully enforced. This car is sold “as-is, where is” with
absolutely no warranties and/or guarantees either expressed or
implied. Seller does hereby covenant and warrant unto high
bidder/auction winner/purchaser that any and all information
provided by Seller is, to the best of Seller’s knowledge and
belief, complete and accurate in all material respects and,
further, that Seller shall promptly amend or supplement such
information upon discovering that said information is
materially inaccurate or incomplete. This auction/agreement
shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws
of the State of Georgia and that any and all disputes relating
to or arising out of this Agreement or the Vehicle shall be
litigated in the Superior Court of Gwinnett County, Georgia,
without regard to any other venues or jurisdictions in which
such litigation may be permissible. Now that we have gotten
the legalities out of the way good luck and please e-mail me
with any questions you may have.
