You are bidding on one of the most desired muscle cars in
existence today!
This is an ultra rare 1967 SHELBY COBRA GT500. SHELBY #
1875. It boasts a 428, with Dual Carburetors, 355 horsepower
(severely underrated) V8, with a crisp 3 speed automatic
transmission! This is one of 2048 (fewer in existence today)
GT500's hand built by Carroll Shelby in 1967, at his famous
Los Angeles, California plant. This Shelby GT 500, WON BEST OF
SHOW at the ALL FORD NATIONALS in Carlisle (1999)!!!!!! It was
also in the winners circle this year at Carlisle! It has won
NUMEROUS 1st place honors at local and National levels! It is
extremely documented!!
It has the extremely rare and sought after "inboard"
lights that make the vehicle an early production car! Shelby
only produced VERY FEW GT 500'S with the "inboard" or center
mounted lights compounding its rarity! Shelby later found
out that certain states had laws governing the distance
between the high and lowbeam headlights, and produced later
vehicles with outboard lights to accommodate state laws.
To further compound its rarity it has the Shelby louvered
fiberglass hood to allow cool air to enter the engine
compartment! It maintains all the correct Shelby
equipment including Factory Roll Cage complete with working
Integral Inertia Shoulder Harnesses, Gorgeous Wooden Steering
Wheel, with Brushed Aluminum Trim pieces to compliment the
interior, and Fiberglass Body Panels to reduce the weight of
this ultimate driving machine! It has the original AM ford
radio, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Extra Cooling
Package, Courtesy Light Group, Tachometer and Trip Odometer,
folding rear seat, and deluxe interior.
It also has the ultra rare functional lower quarter-panel
air scoops that fed fresh air to the rear brakes!!These items compound the rarity and make it an
extremely desirable GT500.
Assembly was completed on April 13th 1967, and was shipped
from Shelby to Community Ford Sales in Saline, Michigan on
5/02/67. This vehicle is extremely documented through the
SHELBY AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE CLUB, and the SHELBY REGISTRY. It
has the SHELBY AMERICAN FACTORY SALES INVOICE, GT350/GT500
production order form, 7-page Ford Special Vehicle Order and
Parts Specification sheet! This vehicle has been meticulously
maintained, with very few owners and Pampered since new.
This Shelby was most recently owned by the Past President
of the S.A.A.C. (Shelby American Automobile Club) It also has
title history documenting the original 71,073 miles. I spoke
to the originating dealer, who ordered and sold the car new in
1967! He remembers the car vividly, as only a few GT500's were
sold new out of his dealership that year. He personally drove
the car! The car is spectacular in every aspect! It has an
incredible rust-free body and floors, with one repaint several
years ago to its original Wimbledon White, with Blue Lemans
racing stripes to factory specifications! It looks Beautiful
and shows excellent!
It maintains its immaculate original interior as the photos
show. The original Stuart Warner gauges are still intact and
fully functional! The car needs nothing to show or drive! It
goes no where without drawing a huge crowd! It even maintains
its original BJ/BK dual Holley carburetors!
Recently a select few of these 1967 GT500's were auctioned
off at some of the largest best known auctions in the country,
and brought unbelievable money!!!!!!
My reserve is considerably less, than recent market values,

investment, look no further as you have found it. If you have
negative feedback please do not bid as it will be rejected. If
