Description |
|
Car number 3044Z
(Z proceeds the serial number and is located in the SAAC
Registry) was purchased from its previous owner who had
purchased the car in 1968 with a restoration completed in
1986. I have owned the car for almost two years and have
completed one rotesserie restoration and am now in the process
of a second fine tune restoration which will be completed in
late August or early September (I was not content with the
recent restoration). At any time the car can be viewed prior
to completion, and all expenses will be paid for the
completion. The car is complete and correct, as where no
expense has been spared taking the car to this plateau. I
really wish I could elaborate but examples are correct 428PI,
4 speed Top Loader Transmission, Traction-Loc differential,
intake and dual BK/BJ carburaters, ten spoke wheels, shoulder
harness belts, gauge pod w/gauges, and steering wheel. One
change during restoration that was made is the car originally
had outboard headlights that we changed to inboard headlights.
The car is truly a solid car with very limited reproduction
parts used, in other words the car was not slaughtered when I
purchased it and would be difficult to replace. The small rust
spot (golfball size) that was located on the rear quarter
panel has been replaced correctly and this is the extent of
rust the car had aquired in its 35 years of existence, the car
is as original a dark moss green with white lemans stripes.
Please do not bid unless you are a serious buyer, as all
questions can be directed to me (Billy Bridges) at
(770)574-9718. Please keep in mind this is my personal car
with close to $90,000 invested and I can easily put you in
touch with the people who know the car and effort made to make
this a first class 67 GT500. I know this question will arise
so the answer to why sell, my son has requested a race car for
christmas and well he is my son so I guess we will go racing.
