1967 Shelby Cobra GT500
Vehicle Description

You are bidding on what I consider to be one of the finest examples of a 67 GT500 in the world. This is a documented 33,000 original mile rust free Arizona Shelby. It was originally delivered to National Motors and was never out of California or Arizona until now! As you can see from the photos it has been painstakingly restored to 1967 authentic condition. This car oozes with 60s Patina from the correct peel Brittany blue exterior to the mint original Goodyear Speedway 350 Nylon tires. When was the last time you saw one of these with a correct working thermactor emission smog setup? I haven’t ever had one in my shop in 25 years of being in the restoration business. This one is gorgeous and concours correct. This car has the original Kelsey Hayes Magstar wheels, which are the prettiest I’ve ever seen. All the parts on this car have been cleaned or restored to the correct concours standards. The fiberglass parts are all original with the correct early steel framed hood and decklid. The interior is crisp and looks like it did in 67. The steering wheel looks like it’s never had a dirty finger on it. Lots of NOS Ford parts were used in the restoration. The motor fires immediately and has gobs of oil pressure. It sounds as good as it looks through the original 67 Dated C7ZF muffler and resonator pipes. I can’t find any repro parts used except maybe brake pads. I don’t know what else to say except this car should be in a museum its that nice. In the trunk you’ll find a NOS correct Burtex mat along with an original owners manual and copies of the original Shelby delete sheets. We’ve taken a lot of photos of this car and have provided links to all below. If you still have any questions feel free to ask except what the reserve is.
