Yes it is a '68 Shelby GT500KR Mustang believe it or not! This car is #03227 in the Shelby American World Registry. You can now have your very own "King of the Road"! This is the real thing with all tags and "S" markings still in tact. This car very sound and in nice shape. This is a very tight and solid car which never fails to turn heads. This car shows and runs very well. The vehicle has a very powerful 428 Cobra Jet motor in it with only 8500 miles on the build. It is not the original numbers motor but it is the correct genre. It is very rare to find one of these now days as you may very well know from searching. The engine is backed by the original top loader four speed tranny with a Hurst floor shifter which functions well. The Interior is ORIGINAL with nice seats (drivers bucket has five seam separations), nice carpet (no rips) and nice dash (no cracks). The ODO shows 60,569 actual miles. This Shelby is a quite a deal and you will be surprised at the low reserve. This GT500KR has outstanding looks and tremendous power as well! These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension was all new 8500 miles ago as well as the motor and the car drives as new. The rear end is the original Ford 9" with 350:1 ratio which was rebuilt as well. The electrical system is all original and in great shape with exception to the clock which does not work. This Fastback is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right! This vehicle is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a nice example of a sought after and almost impossible to find collector. If you have been looking but can not find an GREAT Shelby worthy of your hard earned money look NO further because this is the one! The finish on the vehicle is very nice as you can see below but do keep in mind this Car does have imperfections as most vehicles of this age do, chips, etc... The interior is very attractive in the Saddle Tan color with Shelby accents. The vehicle does not have any rust on the under carriage or on the body that I can find. The floors are solid and the tires are nice as well! Nothing needed on this one to drive away! This vehicle is in good mechanical condition and it runs and drives well. The vehicle is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression. In '98 the car got fresh paint and stripes. In 1970 the cars motor was blown and the car ended up in a snow bank. The front clip was replaced with that of a '67 Shelby and the motor with a 390. In ''86 the new 428 CJ was built and installed. In '98 the front end was put back correct with replacement '68 front fenders and fiberglass nose and hood. I looked underneath and also included photos below. This is a nice solid vehicle and it has plenty of good looks to boot! Please pay close attention to the photos and descriptions below as they will answer most if not all of your questions.
