Kruse
International is proud to present this 1966
Shelby Mustang GT350 Hertz. It is a true Hertz
Shelby with documentation. The car has full
history in the Shelby Registry and full
documentation. It was once owned by Micky
Gilbert, who was Lee Majors stunt double in "The
Six Million Dollar Man".
Carroll Shelby
signed the glove box in September of 1989. The
current owner is the fifth and has had the car
for 2 years. The vehicle has been restored to
original condition and was displayed for 11
years in a dealer's showroom. There are 8,655
miles on the restoration.
On 4/1/1966
with 1276 miles, the engine block was replaced
with a Ford replacement block. It was still
under Hertz's possession and under their
warranty.
The original Ford vin # is
6R09K140858. The vehicle is an original Shelby
Hertz car. The vehicle, to the owner's
knowledge, has not been wrecked nor does it have
any rust. The vehicle is a California car, most
of the time it was located in the Los Angeles
area. The engine compartment is very clean and
so is the interior. The engine is original as
well as the beefed up Shelby auto transmission.
The owner bought the car from a Ford dealer who
had it on display in his showroom floor for over
11 years.
The paint and body are in show
condition with a mirror finish. The
high-performance 289 and automatic transmission
are also in excellent condition. In 1966 it had
dealer installed A/C added and it blows cold! It
is an early production 1966 with traction bars
over the top of the axle.
It has bucket
front seats, fold-down rear seat, disc brakes,
and a Shelby 500 spare tire rim.
The
carburetor is the original Holley-S. The rear
gears are original 9" with 3.89 gears. There are
three small repaired cracks on the steering
wheel. The gold stripe down the center is
painted. The side stripes are decals. The
restoration was done in 1988 in Los Angeles,
California

Inspection:
- The item is offered with the right to a
personal inspection by the successful bidder

International must receive a deposit of 5% of
the final bid price prior to inspection and
within 3 business days of the close of the
auction. This deposit is refundable in the event
the seller has materially misrepresented the
item.
- Inspections must be done within 10 days
after the close of the auction. Otherwise it
is assumed the item is to be accepted without an
inspection. Once the item is approved by the
buyer (or 10 days have passed), the balance due
must be paid to the seller or Kruse. Note that
the 10 day period is 10 actual days, not 10
business days.
- The vehicles being offered are in general
older or used and are not perfect and not every
flaw of the item can be listed.

transfer, VISA, or MasterCard.

in the form of a cashier's check, a wire
