Description |
|
This rare 1970
Shelby in Silver Jade was one of the few 1969 Ford Mustangs
that were converted at the end of that year by Carroll shelby
to 1970 Shelbys at the Shelby Automotive Company. 1970 Shelbys
are distinguished by dozens of unique additions, including
black hood stripes, front spoiler, Mach 1 interior with deluxe
interior decor group, tilt-away steering wheel, AM/FM radio
and special badging. Three inlet scoops, two relief vents and
two chrome twist latches are fitted on the fiberglass hood.
Under the hood is the awesome 428 Cobra Jet V8 engine,
orginally developed by Ford for drag racing. Sports Car
Graphics rates this GT 500 at 0-60 in six seconds and the
standing quarter mile in 14 seconds. The car was originally
delivered to a Toledo, Ohio dealership in October, 1969 and
was purchased by Arnold Lewis. Restoration was recently
completed by Craig Jackson of Barrett & Jackson Auctions.
I'm the 4th owner. This is an authentic, rare Shelby,
registered with the Shelby American Automobile Club.

This is not a 100
point concourse. However, it is a high end NUMBER 1 SHOW CAR.
Because it is difficult to describe this sort of vehicle, I
highly recommend you come see and drive the car for yourself
so you can see how nice it really is. I will gladly give you
my number if you are interested. I will make it as convenient
on you as possible.
