This 1966 Shelby GT 350 is a real Shelby Vintage Race Car
that has been raced since the late 1960's. This car has been
in Florida since 1970. This car is listed in the Shelby
American World Registry. The car has a Historic SVRA
Medallion attesting to the car’s racing history. The car is
legal to run in HSR, SVRA, SCCA or simply open track sessions
or other club racing events. The car is currently white with
guardsman blue Shelby racing stripes. The car is in very nice
condition and it was last restored in 1987. The car has
always been protected from the elements. We spent $10,000.00
in race prep the car for the HSR event at Daytona in October
2001. However, we were not able to run the car due to a
last minute business scheduling conflict. We ran
the car in June 2002 at Sebring and it ran flawlessly.
We race prepped the car again to run it at Daytona in Oct/Nov
2002 including putting a new rearend gear in the car.
Another $3,500.00 was spent prepping the car for
Daytona. We ran the car hard on Thursday, Friday
and during the Saturday morning session, we experienced an
engine problem that ended the weekend. The car has not
been run since nor has the engine problem
been diagnosed as of the posting of this auction.
The car is being sold "AS IS" however, we would consider
repairing the engine problem for the right buyer and the right
price. As to the specifics of the car, the car has
a Boss 302 4 bolt main block, aluminum heads, Carillo rods,
Billet crank, Crane Roller camshaft - stud’s girdle, the
