I have owned this car for 33 years, never raced it, have
been showing it occasionally for the last 10 years or so,
always garaged, but is a driver, not a 'garage queen'.
1 of 933 fastback KRs produced, 428CJ original drive train
in very good shape, very strong, automatic transmission, if
you know Shelbys, you know what this car can do and the great
investment it is.
Repainted Grabber Blue in 1970 after left front and rear
damage, NOS parts used in repair, original color was dark
metallic green, repainted again in late 70s, taken down to
bare metal, reprimed, and painted with acryllic enamel,
presently has a few nicks and chips, one small ding on top of
right front fender, fiberglas crack in lower grille, no
rust. All original or replaced damaged parts
with NOS in 1970, all numbers match, aftermarket battery,
hoses and some other mechanical parts, this is a driver.
Needs a good cleaning and some detailing if you want a show
car. Interior all original and excellent, clock does not
work, Shelby glove box tag replaced with reproduction, minor
wear.
I have information and paperwork on the original owners and
dealer, and some records of maintenance and repairs.
Some older photos available, copies available to buyer.
I have most of the original parts that were replaced, such
as mirror, shackles, steel wheels and hub caps, exhaust tips
and some other miscellaneous small parts.
This car is not a clone, it is an original with matching
numbers, and in excellent driving condition. It
presently has a leak somewhere in the original exhaust header
pipe, has the original resonators, but has new custom exhaust
from the resonators back.

The car presently has Magnum 500s and Goodyear Polyglas GT
bias-ply tires, if you want to put different wheels and tires
on it after purchase, I may consider a deal for the wheels and
tires.
The battery is a couple of years old, the clutch fan needs
to be replaced, the heater core has a leak and has been
disconnected, the original trunk mat is missing, and the
engine compartment and underchassis is dirty from driving and
needs a good cleaning and detailing. See note above
regarding exhaust system, original muffler missing, and is
very loud with just the resonators, but it sounds GREAT.
Warm oil pressure runs low at idle, but no problems.
A mix of racing fuel and premium pump gas has been used since
leaded premium was discontinued.
The minor nicks and scratches show up on close inspection,
but the car shows
well.
