This
Shelby needs total
restoration. Both
quarters, fenders, right front frame rail, fender aprons and
trunk sheet metal have some rust and need repair. The doors are still in
good shape and the floor is solid. I believe this
Shelby is a GT500
and not a GT500KR as indicated on the stripes because it has
an S engine code and was an early built car with early style
rear marker lights.
The speedometer says 76,719, which I believe is
correct. The
parts I know of that are missing are the radiator, oil pan,
carburetor, air cleaner, and molding around the grille. I will give the
buyer all the parts that I have for this vehicle but there
still may be pieces missing here and there as this vehicle has
been sitting in this condition for 25+ years. The interior is
original and in tact with all
Shelby equipment,
gauges, console, roll bar and seatbelt harnesses.
I have the
build sheets for this
Shelby and the
title from the second owner dated 07/02/1970. The vehicle has a
clear title in my name.
The previous owner removed the
Shelby tags from
underneath the hood, and I have both of them. This vehicle is
available for inspection in South Lyon, Michigan. I also have a 1973 351C 4V
engine and top loader 4-speed transmission available at extra
cost.
