Up for sale os a
68 Shelby GT 500 convertible . this car belongs to a personal
close friend and car collector, and i will give you his phone
# at the end of the description. i have personally driven this
car and have watched this rare car come together since its
purchase in 1987. Heres some history of the car, the car was
damaged in 1972 and parked till 1987 when my friend purchased
it. he spent the nekt 7 years restoring it as the damage was
to the left front end. it needed a left 3/4 nose which was
replaced with some n.o.s. and after market parts. the rest of
the car was mint. it has alll the original sheet metal except
for the 3/4/ nose, by the way the original hood comes with the
car and is repairable, but was cheaper to replace after market
back in 1987.the rest of the car had no damage. the body is
perfect and i would say this car is a #2 with one being mint.
the interior is all origanal and is flawless with no tears or
rips. the convertible top is also in good cond. lets go on to
the drive train, the motor is a 428 police interceptor, oh by
the way the original motor also comes with the car and
including ,intake, and exhaust manifolds, carberator, hub
caps, original spare, (good year speedway 350-f70-15,,
transmission is the original 4 speed, rear end is the original
ford 9 inch open rear with 355 gears.suspension is all
polyurethane bushings. motor was pro done in sept. of 2002.
top is less than a year old . vehicle is listed with sheby
registry. oh by the way this car comes with both build sheets
as one was found recently above the glove compartment.its #
194 0f 402 built.this car is very rare and needs agood home to
take care of it as the last owner has for the last 16 years,
